Cabinet Speakers
Bay Audio cabinets are
a thing of beauty. All JAM Speakers are built from a super-refined
MDF substrate, veneered front and back. Cabinets are available in
Black painted Ash, Cherry, and White painted finishes, or Bay Audio
will custom-match any finish.
JAM speaker baffles are constructed from a 3-layer
laminated material originally designed to reduce engine noise in
luxury cruise ship staterooms. Bay Audio specifies a sandwich of
visco-elastic polymer between two sheets of super-refined MDF. The
polymer never dries. It acts as a heat sink, significantly quelling
panel vibrations by turning them from sound waves into heat. You'll
hear cleaner midrange, tighter bass.

In-Wall & In-Ceiling Speakers
Bay Audio uses aluminum
for their JAM in-wall frames, grille assemblies, and terminal plates.
These parts are machined to mil-spec, then polished and anodized
so they won't corrode even in high-humidity environments.
On their speaker grilles, you'll notice a distinct
border on all four sides (unlike the postage-stamp effect you'll
find elsewhere). That's specialized work: each and every hole is
punched in a pattern Bay Audio specified for maximum sound flow,
minimum see-through, and a clean look.
